Tell Me Why

"A mighty flame followeth a tiny spark" by Dante Alighieri

What this quote is trying to get at is that something so small, so worhtless can turn into something big, mighty and curagoius. An example of this is if someone formed a group of people to help prevent poverty and go round each of there streets asking for money could make the biggest diffrence. How could this make the biggest diffrence you ask? Well every penny that goes to preventing poverty could give a child a home, food, and clean water.

This quote really gets me thinking about how i could change the world and how other people can to. It also makes me think about how such a small group of people who are just like us can make all the difference in this world. think about this question just for a second. How can u change the world and who will you bring along with you to help you acheive this?

Poverty Reflection

No food, no clean water, no home and no school all equals poverty. How could we let people suffer this way. Innocent people out there are dying from poverty and we aren’t doing enough about it!. Children of all ages are suffering through this daily disaster that shapes their lives. People from all over the world are trying to make poverty a thing of the past but still people are dying on an hourly, daily, weekly and monthly basis.

What can our generation do to wipe out poverty for good? Charities all over the world raise millions of dollars a year to help the problem but it never seems to be enough to completely solve the problems. When they help one area another country has either a drought, war or another disaster that ruins their country and puts the people into poverty through no fault of their own. Instead of going around with a charity box collecting money we need to raise awareness off the problems to let people know what they are donating for. However all the money in the world will not help if it isn’t used correctly? Instead of giving them water show them how to find it and build wells, instead of giving them food show them how to grow it and raise animals for meat and educate the children to become doctors to help their people. These are proud people they don’t always want charity they want to be able to provide for themselves.

This is the 21st century yet still millions of people die yearly for the want of clean water, food, medical help and shelter. These are the basic requirements to live and these are things that in the Western World we take for granted. We know when we turn on the tap water comes out, the supermarkets will always have food and our homes will be there to offer us warmth and safety. I don`t think I could be as happy as the children in the stories are, I complain about going to school but these children will walk for hours to get to school to get educated to get themselves out of poverty. I don`t think I could live one day as these children have lived their whole lives, could you...............????
