Experience at Norvel.
What does it take to accomplish teamwork? After coming back from norvel I found the answer to that question. On Monday our school had a trip to Norvel, we got split up in to 2 groups and we both set with different challenges. We first all played a game with a parachute, basically someone is in the middle of the parachute and all the people around the outside have to all pull at the same time to make the person in the middle fly up into the air, I was one of the last people to go and I was VERY nervous but in the end it was SO funJ!
My group’s first task was trying to get up a 14ft wall with nothing but ourselves. This personally was my favourite task we did. So we came up with an plan, the plan was to have 2 people hold out there knees to boost someone up and then push them up on their hands to get to the top. We all worked hard and in the end we got everyone up and over the wall.
Our next challenge we had to choose 1 person to get hooked up to a lot of ropes, we all got split into 4 teams and then each team had a rope, we then had to control the person strapped to the ropes to collect different coloured balls, will basically was the leader and we successful got all the balls, but our team did struggle on all listening to each other’s ideas.
After that we did a drum circle which was AZAMING! We all had to each have a drum and play along with the instructor. I also loved how he got everyone in the audience involved. We played many interesting songs and they even gave us a performance of them all playing.
Overall this day was great, I learned how it be a leader and a good team member.
