Horseback riding

One of my FAVOURITE sports is horseback riding. I have been riding since I was 5 years old and have enjoyed the whole experience. It sometimes is a hard job and takes a lot of work like, taking them up, grooming then, feeding them, and going through hard days when they just don’t want to listen to you. It is all hard and a can be challenging but after you’ve had a good day with great ride it was all worth the hard work and effort.

One of my favourite things about riding is going FAST! I love it when the horse just takes you where ever he wants to go at the fastest speed possible. For most people that is a very scary thing but for me it is amazing fun! I also enjoy jumping which I have been doing since I was 9, the first jump I ever did was about half a metre and I was so scared I felt like I wanted to cry, but after I had got over that very small jump I made my teacher put it up another half a metre and I did it again! J

I’ve ridden many different horses, I’ve ridden, small horses, tall horses, fats horses, stubborn horses, slow horses, young horses, very old horses and my personal favourite ex show jumper horses. At my old barn we had an ex show jumper horse called V. He was amazing at jumps and had great height to every jump he did. One time I was ridding V and we were coming up to a jump and to the right of the jump was a 6 foot wall which no one was allowed to jump because it had a couple of loose bricks, so we were lopping up to this jump and V suddenly decides to go to the right and jump over this HUGE wall. When I felt myself going over I was so excited I asked if I could do it again but my teacher said no and got me off the horse and switched me with another more experienced rider which was fine but it was the funniest thing I have ever done on a horse and I will never forget it. J
